Harry Potter World Coming To Universal Studios Hollywood

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is coming to the west coast.

The Harry Potter attraction at Universal Studios in Orlando is so wildly popular that they’ve decided to build a second one at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Yeah!

In the year since it opened, Universal Studios Orlando saw a 41%  increase in attendance and brought in more that $300 million.Growing Up With Harry Potter

It looks like they plan to open the west coast version in 2014 or 2015.  So close, yet so far.

The Los Angeles installment will be a bit smaller than the one in Orlando due to the size of the park but we’re still hoping to see many of the same attractions like the recreation of Hogwarts castle, the village of Hogsmeade, Honeydukes candy store and Zonko’s joke shop.

The motion-based simulator ride Forbidden Journey is said to be one of the best theme park rides around, so it’s likely we could see one in the west coast park too.

People who have been to Harry Potter World in Orlando say it’s so real that the only thing missing are the stars themselves.
