Adele Is #1 Again And Again And Again…

Adele’s “21″ just made it 21 weeks at #1. And that’s not all. On the strength of her night of 6 Grammy wins, her album went from 238,000 to 730,000 copies sold in the week following the Grammy Awards. In doing so, Adele passes Whitney Houston’s “Bodyguard” soundtrack (“Bodyguard went 20 weeks at #1). Wouldn’t it be ironic if Whitney returned the favor by going #1 next week should “Whitney’s Greatest Hits” top the charts. (Very possible since its so huge on iTunes since Whitney’s passing).
PS. “21″ has also become the longest-running number-one album BY A WOMAN in history.
