Morissette was among the first performers of the night, debuting her brand new song, “Guardian” from her forthcoming album Havoc and Bright Lights. And Carrie Underwood also took the stage to perform “Good Girl” from her just released chart topping album, Blown Away.

The surprising elimination among the dancers last night was Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough, who had come out among the top with their scores the night before. The remaining three couples competing for the mirror ball next week will be Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas plus Wiliam Levy and Cheryl Burke.

The finale for Dancing with the Stars will be on May 22.

The solar eclipse happens when the moon covers most of the sun leaving a halo around the moon.  The eclipse will occur between 5:30 and 7:30pm on May 20th and will last for about four and a half minutes.  Be sure to protect your eyes, don’t look directly at the eclipse with unprotected vision.  Even though most of the sun is covered it can still hurt your eyes.

Learn more about the solar eclipse at The Discovery Museum Science & Space Center (3615 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento 95821) who will be having an eclipse party from 5:30 – 7:30 pm on May 20th.  The evening includes a program explaining eclipses and safe viewing techniques (each participant will receive a specialeclipse viewer).  During the actual eclipse, families are invited to enjoy their own picnic dinners in our nature area.  Then there will be a planetarium show featuring the planets and constellations visible as darkness falls. Sources are telling E!News Marc Malkin, that Lopez is planning on quitting the judging gig with Idol after this season, number 11, because she is too busy. Lopez has cried wolf before. Last season of Idol, she hinted that she was leaving the show. Of course, none of this is confirmed at the moment. Lopez’s reps have declined to comment on this issue. The singer/actress is a busy women, though. From appearing in commericals to movies, like this summer’s film What To Expect When You’re Expecting. She is even embarking on a world concert tour with Enrique Iglesias this summer which happens to be around the same time American Idol Season 12′s auditions would take place. Lopez could be holding out for a raise. Reported eariler this week, Fox is paying $15 million for Britney Spears to appear as a judge on their other singing show The X Factor; the same amount Lopez is being payed. So, what do you think? Should Lopez stay or go?

If that wasn’t enough, any one of J.Lo’s over 7 million Twitter followers (yes, a strong social media presence makes you powerful too) looking to cop her style can check out her new clothing line at Kohl’s and then pick up Glow or one of her 17 other fragrances.

The magazine points out that Idol helped revive Lopez’s career after she stumbled with 2006′s El Cantante, which featured ex-hubbie Marc Anthony, and Como Ama una Mujerand, the all-Spanish album she released in 2007.  But the judge, who’s touring this summer with Enrique Iglesias, says it might be time to call it quits.

“I miss doing other things,” she said on Ellen this week. “It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three and four.”

But now that her twins, Max and Emme, are getting ready to go to school the single mom doesn’t know if staying on for season three is a good fit.

With nearly two years under her belt, Lopez has learned a few things and recently shared some sound advice with the new X Factor judges Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, who plans to look good for her TV debut.

“You don’t have to be tough,” she told Access Hollywood. “There’s not one way to do that, reality TV, and those competition shows [are] about being yourself. It’s about being your best self, and I think that’s the most important thing.”

She also paid the two ladies a few compliments saying, “I was like, ‘Live TV! Eek.’ It’s a big thing to take on, but I think they’re both more than capable to handle it.”

Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, who held the top spot in 2011, join Lopez on this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100 list.

For the Kardashian doubters, calling her a hard worker might sound like a stretch. But perhaps that’s based on Bieber’s own idea of hard work. The GQ interviewer, who hung out with Bieber in the recording studio while he worked on his forthcoming album, remarks that, “I have been told repeatedly what a hard worker he is, but in two nights—Bieber only records at night—I’ve witnessed him work for a grand total of forty minutes.” Perhaps he was in a creative drought?

Bieber and Kardashian haven’t been seen together a lot lately, possibly due to their busy and conflicting schedules, but when he sat down with MTV after the premiere of “Boyfriend,” he talked about working with current Kardashian paramour Kanye West who appears on Bieber’s forthcoming album.

When asked if he knew about the Kardashian/West romance, Bieber joked, “She didn’t even call me! It was crazy.” And kidded around about West, “taking my women.” Watch out, Selena Gomez.

The topic of PMS came up when talking about the story behind Kearney’s most recent single “Ships In the Night,” which he wrote after making up with his wife. He explained that he had the idea for the title before the song came to him.

“It’s about two people trying to connect. Me and my wife got in a fight on the way to the airport. So I’m leaving and we’re sitting in the car not talking to each other,” he said. “She had cramps or something and I was late because of it to the airport so I missed my flight. It was not the best.”

On his connecting flight he called his wife to apologize.

“We’re talking and we’re making up and I was taking notes, sitting there writing everything down we were saying. I was like, ‘This is such a good song!’”

He continued to joke that he’s the first man to talk about PMS in a song, “‘You had cramps and I was late,’ it says it in there,” he said.

“PMS is no joke man,” Kearney said, who’s been married to his wife Annie since June 2010. “It’s hard man, when you just want chocolate and you’re pissed — and you don’t know why you’re mad.”

Kearney’s latest album is Young Love and features the single “Ships In The Night.”

Alright fellas, get out the list and start writing these down. According to a survey by Austin Reed, the perfect man meets all of these qualities including earning about $77,000 a year, drinks beer and drives an Audi. The beer drinking is pretty reasonable, right? Women also want men to have stylish clothes, a good body and a clean-shaven face (my fellow bearded men may protest this!). The perfect guy also can swim, rides a bike, and makes family his top priority. Eighty-six percent of women polled say they want a sensitive man who calls his mom regularly and cries during movies.
